The anchored comment works on a canvas too. It is the spine of both products, not a Docs feature.
Click into a card, type @claude, and the composer names exactly what is being discussed. A real thread header read: slide 2, caption, followed by the first words of that caption. The Send to Claude checkbox is here as well, ticked by default, and it does the same job. Ticked is an instruction, unticked is a note.
A house rule, enforced from one card
Two comments were left on a single card: remove em dashes, then also give examples here. Claude did both across the whole deck and replied in the thread saying it had pulled every em dash out and rewritten with colons and commas instead. The deck subtitle changed from an em dash to a colon, and so did every other slide.
That is the strongest demonstration of the whole tool for a designer with a house style. You do not restate your style rules in a prompt and hope. You point at the slide that breaks one.
Claude replies, marks the thread resolved, and leaves a reply-to-reopen box. The reply is attributed as Claude via your name. It also works through a queue: the panel reported publishing, then replying in the comment thread, then checking for other pending threads.
