Tweaks: Explore Variations Without Chat
Tweaks is a toggle in the canvas toolbar (next to Comment, Edit, and Draw). Flip it on and a control panel appears, with toggles and sliders Claude auto-generated for this specific design. Click through them and the canvas re-renders live. No chat round-trip, no prompts, no waiting.
Why this matters
Most design iteration is exploring the same handful of dimensions: theme, density, color direction, layout balance. Tweaks turns those into one-click toggles instead of one-prompt-per-variant. Twenty iterations in twenty clicks rather than twenty chat messages.

Tweaks are design-specific
Claude picks the dimensions based on the canvas it generated. Lineup exposes Theme and Density because those are the meaningful variables for a kanban board. A marketing landing page might get color-temperature and hero-layout instead. A dashboard might get chart-style and grid-density. You don't configure Tweaks, Claude builds them as part of the initial generation.
If Claude didn't surface a dimension you care about, ask in chat: "Add a tweak for typography scale from compact to expressive." Claude extends the existing Tweaks panel with a new control, same live-rerender behavior.
What Tweaks replaces
- Asking Claude for variants in chat, one message per option
- Manually re-prompting for each permutation you want to compare
- Screenshotting each state separately for a team review
- Losing context across chat turns when exploring a dimension
When to use chat instead
- The change is structural, not a dimension (adding a sidebar, swapping sections)
- The dimension isn't in Tweaks and you're not sure it's worth adding a control for
- You want to compare two wildly different directions, not tune one
You can explore variations without chat
- Know where Tweaks lives in the toolbar
- Understand that Tweaks are auto-generated per canvas
- Know how to ask Claude to add a new tweak
- Know when a chat round-trip is still the right call
